My Journal/Blog

This is a picture of my cat. I am not really a "cat-person" but for some reason I always end up with one cat. Well anyway this cat's name use to be "Ellie" because the people who had "her" thought "she was a girl kitten. Well let me tell you what a shock it was to them when the vet told them they should think about changing "Ellie's" name! Well they knew I had just lost my little tiny kitten Ling-Ling. I had her just three months when she had a seizer and died. That is how I got Eli. Yes, now his name is Eli.
Eli is afraid of dogs, he use to live with big dog that chase him all the time. I have had him for almost two years now. He is quite vocal in the mornings when it is time for him to be fed. He likes warm milk at night before bedtime. After I have mine, I set my cup down with just a little bit in the bottom and Eli sticks his paw (left paw) in the cup and licks the milk off his paw. I forgot to tell you, Eli is a very big cat. he weighs 19 pounds.
The really strange thing about Eli is that he looks just like another cat I had many years ago. He and "Fluffy" are the same color and marked just a like. the thing is; I once wrote a short story about "The Cat who Could not be Given Away".

Hi,
I have posted a short article "I am Sorry, I am too Busy". It can about because the lady across the road is 90 and was taken to the hospital and spent two nights there. her daughters (2) live within 10 miles from here but they are "very busy" to take her to have blood work done and go to the doctors. In this mountain neighborhood we all help each out. Ana is the oldest neighbor.
With The 4th of July just around the corner, I am working on and article that will help us support our troops. There are many things we can do to show our support for our troops and their families.

Good Morning!
Boy do I have a LOT of catching up to do!

First: It seems like every one had a birthday at one time and therefore because I make my own cards I had my hands full.

Second: My husband has been too the Doctors. Now it's back and forth to have the test done. Tomorrow is stress test #1 ( a one hour test) then on Friday is Stress test #2 (that is a 2 hour test) and after that is the echo test and then a revisit with the Doctor in the afternoon
.
Third: In between all of these test the lady (Ana 90) is not doing well. She needs to go today for blood work, and then some more tests and back to the doctors.

Ana has two (2) daughters here in town. However, they are very "busy" ( please do not get me wrong I do not have a problem doing for Ana) However, I last my mother in 1975 to cancer at the age of 57.I miss my mother even to this day and I am 70. I lost my father in 2002 and yes I miss him also. What I am trying to say is this: we only have our mothers and fathers for such an short time. They (for the most part) put their lives on hold to raise us. They gave us life. There are some children who have never been give the chance to live.

If your parent(s) are still with you, take the time to spend time with them. REMEMBER: one day you too will be old.

Good evening,
Today has been a nose to the grind work day. I have worked on my books, wish I am done; however due to the amount of research I need to do on each one it is going slow.
You all have a great night.

Good evening,
It has been a busy 3 days. I designed 3 birthday cards and tried to catch up on so reading. I have found that this is my best time to get on here. When I was on much of the day. I enjoy reading everyone's work. Today I cooked two dinners the one we ate today and one for tomorrow's dinner. and my friend in India wanted the recipe for one of them. I do not follow a recipe. I start out with one and add a little of this and a little of that. sure hope it turns out ok for her.
Good night.

I asked God why He was putting my such deep troubled waters and He said, "Because your enemies can't swim."
I don't know where I got this or who wrote it but I thought it was good.

Hi Everyone,
Yea, I just posted and here I am again. I am trying to up-date my Blog.Yesterday was paid day, and what that really means is it was bill paying day. Yes, I know most people pay their bills on line. Nope, not me. I am not really sure why I don't. I have online banking and I keep a very close eye on our bank accounts. I think the reality of it is It's a social event. Every month we go out to breakfast, go to the bank, chit chat with the teller, and then make our bill paying rounds. In there somewhere we stop and have lunch.

Hi everyone,
Today I have the change to talk to a young lady (11 years old) who wants to be a writer. I spoke to her and her mother. This was a very bright young lady. she asked a lot of very intelligent questions. We talked about how I got started, why she wants to write, how to self-publish, what websites to go to, I told her about writing.com, what it was like. She told me she wanted to get paid for writing. I explained to her that getting your foot in the door was the first step. That getting reviews was like being paid. One person likes the book/article then another person will read it, and another, and so on. Before you know it you are getting paid in real money. It was refreshing to know that not all kids are just sitting around playing video games. I would guess we spent about an hour talking. I enjoyed the time I spent with both the young girl and her mother.

HI Everyone,
I am trying really hard to keep up my blogging. Yesterday I worked all day trying to make a 3-D birthday cake card. (I'm and writer and card designer and a baker. lol) I was hoping to have this type of card made in time for my husband's 77 birthday. but, alas it is still in the design stage. However, it does look better than the first 4. I started making cards for shutting at our church many years ago. I use to be an industrial engineer; however, back then I was only one of 5 women in the U.S. and most shops didn't want to hire women it was a man's field. So went on to stain glass designing and later cards.

Hi Everyone,
It has been a long week and we are not at the end. Seems like everyone I know has a birthday in June. My oldest and youngest have their birthdays on the same day. I've been on the Part 2 of "You Have Arthritis" and the two books. I also design and my my own greeting cards, and trying to get as much walking in as I can. That is what is going on in my backyard. Hope you all are having a great week.
