A poem about politics in the U.S.
A world in deep despair, drowning ever
So spryly in the epithets
Of its saintly communicators;
As lightning stirs,
As the skies roar with hapless thunder.
We are held to bipartisan, incipient chaos,
By means which beckon
Our true immorality -
And through the heads of state
Of this glorious land,
We hold the governing bodies
To the truth and deeds
Of united, prosperous Americans,
As they fold blindly and aimlessly
Towards every wayward,
Unison, frothy discourse.

The streets become lined
With distinctly visible protests
Attempting to revel in the extreme
And possible remedy:
The impeachment
Of this notorious, yet functional
President of the wealthy
And working Union.
