This my first proper attempt at a poem and it's based off a girl getting ready for a date
I gaze at the clock on the wall,
Ever awaiting that faithful cuckoo.
Sitting here all dolled up,
In my pretty pink dress with frills beyond count and,
Sparkling shoes that dazzle and shimmer like a diamond,
Hair tied up with cute little ribbons,
And face adorned with a touch of make-up,
I sit nervously awaiting that faithful cuckoo,
When you would arrive, looking as dashing as ever,
With your hair as dark as midnight,
Your eyes deep and green like something out of my dreams,
And a smile that makes every girl you meet scream
I sit and await that faithful cuckoo for you my love.
