A poem concerning the power of how easily people can misinterpret love's silent meanings.
Before now I'd have seen as you see
The hesitation you'd have presented before me would have caused a seed of worry to spread
Because not only would I have been young and inexperienced, as you most certainly aren't
But I'd have never once experienced the overpowering love you make me feel
Whenever you whisper the words "I love you", while touching me to make sure I'm near

You'd have seen the hurt and pain if it wasn't heard back right away
But you can't see the struggle behind my eyes
As my mind works around a million different ways to express to you how much it matters
How much I appreciate you, and depend on you, and thrive with you

My hesitation is taken as a lack of consideration
When in the end, it's nothing more than an adorable display of your domination
