Keeping track of the books I've read in 2017.
*Books1* *Books4* *Books3*

It occurred to me while lying in the hospital *Hospital* that it would be a good idea to keep track of books I read in 2017. Unfortunately, this will be a short list because it was started in July! *Laugh*

JULY
*Reading* 1. Almost a Crime by Penny Vincenzi. The author is new to me and the book is 817 pages long and awkward to hold. Lots of twists and turns to keep the reader engaged. I enjoyed Almost a Crime and would definitely recommend it to other readers!

*Reading* 2. Last Wool and Testament by Molly MacRae. I picked this book up at a book sale and realised it was first in a new series. Of course, I want to read more of the series so I will have to haunt Amazon.

*Reading* I'm currently reading another one by Penny Vincenzi. As it's already July 24th. this one could carry over to August. *Laugh*

AUGUST
*Reading* 3. an absolute scandal by Penny Vincenzi. A good read. Penny Vincenzi's books are thicker than the Bible! *Shock2* Although I enjoy her writing it takes me almost a month to read. *Rolling*

*Reading* 4.the perfect match by Kristan Higgins. Comedy/Romance. A good read with a few giggles.

*Reading* 5.The Irish Cottage Murder by Dicey Deere. I do enjoy a good murder mystery. *Shock2* *Devilish*

SEPTEMBER
*Reading* 6.Ghost Moon by Karen Robards. A good read.

*Reading* 7. At Play in the Promised Land by Diane Noble. Spiritual, an inspiring book for Christian readers.

*Reading* 8. A Dog' Purpose by W. Bruce Cammeron. This book is written in the dog's POV *Cry* *Sob*

OCTOBER
*Reading* 9. The Woods by Harlan Coben. First sentence which is also on the front cover; "I see my father with that shovel." Great Hook. How could I not read it?

*Reading* 10. The Moderna Way by Rebecca Rose Taylor. This book was self-published by a girl in my writer's group. *Smile*

{NOVEMBER
*Reading* 11. The Angel by Carla Neggers. A murder mystery (of course) set in USA and Ireland. Some parts are downright grizzly.

*Reading* 12. On Writing by Stephen King. I learned a lot from this book. I knew most of it, but Stephen King somehow made it sink in. He says the more you read the better your writing will be. I hope I'm headed in the right direction!

*Reading* 13. A DOG'S JOURNEY by W. Bruce Cameron. The sequel to A DOG'S PURPOSE also written in the dog's POV. Funny at times and sad at others. The books show the devotion a dog has for his master/mistress.

*Reading* 14. Hard Eight by Janet Evanovich. I love this author and her Stephanie Plum Series!

*Reading* 15. Sizzling Seventeen by Janet Evanovich. My only regret is that I'm not able to read this series in the order it was written.

DECEMBER
*Reading* 16. The Rector's Wife by Joanna Trollope. An insightful look at parish life. I loved the characters!

*Reading* 17. The Next Ex by Linda L. Richards. *Meh* This was a 'whodunit' that didn't hold my attention. Slow paced... I abandoned it halfway through.

*Reading* 18. Spare Change by Robert B. Parker. This novel is about capturing a serial killer and trying to understand his motive for the murders. Hah! What makes a serial killer tick? I enjoyed this book.

*Reading* 19. Hero at Large by Janet Evanovich. Romance. This was one of her earlier novels written under the pen name, Steffie Hall. It was written before her Stephanie Plum series, but you can see the characters evolving that will eventually populate the Stephanie Plum series under different names. For example, Aunt Edna will later become Grandma Mazur.

*Reading* 20. Finger Lickin' Fifteen by Janet Evanovich. Excellent book with all my favourite characters.

*Reading* 21. Explosive Eighteen by Janet Evanovich.
