A woman’s woes of marital pain and tears, suffered for the sake of children
PAIN AND TEARS

Only pain, I got from you,
Along with tears aplenty.
Your heart is so full of hate,
But, of love, it’s so empty.

I thought so often I should
Walk on you, commit suicide.
Why should I from others’ gaze,
Scars and bruises have to hide?

But I don’t have courage to
Convert my thoughts into deed.
Who will then suffer the most?
Not we but the kids indeed.

It’s for them I continue
To suffer indignity,
So that the kids maybe spared
Broken home, a certainty.
