Losing a parent
Dearest Mother,

As I lay here in the dark remembering your face with the pictures in my mind and on my device, I am split in two. One piece of my heart is filled with sadness, tears, dark malevolence and anger that you have been taken to where I cannot follow; not yet at least. The other piece a complete opposite: joy, humor, beauty, and brightness for you are with the creator; waiting patiently to see your children again. The Word of God keeps the darkness away, and fills me with excitement that you are happy and no longer suffering. I lay here, my eyes open, fiercely missing and loving you until my eyes close to sleep. My day will return with the sunrise, and I will be starting my routine again. Until tomorrow night my dear mother, I pray that you visit me once in my dreams.
