We are all servants to the characters we bring to life.
I lay alone in the darkness when I felt it
A fleeting shiver as his hand reached for me again
I called out, why do you continue to pursue me?
I heard his solemn voice, you can never be free

I will follow you, relentlessly pursue you
I don't want this, not now it's four in the morning
Time does not matter for I await
Create me, free me, give me life

I turned away desperately hoping to sleep
Release me now, the voice hit with the intensity of an explosion
There was no escape, not a place to run.
I turned back over, flipped on the light, and began to write.
