You can't suppress who you are meant to be
This building towers above all others. I stand balanced on its ledge, the city far below. If this fails, my last hope is the fall won’t.
I search above, the stars hidden behind storming clouds. Muted blues flash within, thunder sounding deep.
A sudden break exposes a sliver of lunar white. As always, the nightmare inside me awakens. I stumble to the edge, one foot crunching down on the now empty vial. The serum is no match against the beast.
I leap out into space as my flesh betrays my humanity. This is my last hope after all.
