Contest entry
Why?
No answers can be found
The devastation
Evident all around

What started as a gentle mist
With children frolicking up and down
Dancing with muddied feet
Catching water pellets on the tongue

Soon turned when the winds picked up
And the groaning rumbles sound
Let the trees bow down
To sanction forgiveness Oh, so profound

Thor grants not protection.
He wields his sword of destruction
Wielding torrents of viscous matter
To remold the earth to his construction

Only after, Sol returns to the highpoint
Spreading  warmth across the land
Blessing the earth once again
Which yields softly to his command.
