Night spreads
its chocolate blanket
over the city that never sleeps.

Casino
graveyard shift employees,
anticipating the approach of dawn,
get ready to clock out.

Changing the sky
from dark chocolate to red velvet,
dawn consumes nights sweet comforter.

The rising sun
transforming the firmament
into a white chocolate wrapper,
while graveyard workers
wave good-bye
to the morning shift.
