A poem about my chronic illness
It falls with each dose
yet rises with stress
The body's daily struggle ~
blood pressure's low bubble.
A familiar family trait;
this one I do hate
A life-long burden,
could pass on to 'em.
Here's to hope as I pray not,
this silent killer's never forgot.
The bottle is my constant reminder,
I wish getting old could be kinder.
HIgh blood pressure is nothing to laugh at,
I'm glad we've finally had this chat.
