A man details his wedding day
“I, the groom, do take this woman
as my lawfully wedded wife.”
I have my first kiss as her husband,
and everyone cheers
as the band begins to play.

Our first dance is a slow one,
with her head on my shoulder,
until the song changes
and her father taps me.

"Nice tux," he says, and I'm glad he approves-
I paid over $200 for it - plus, like many fathers,
he doesn't think I'm quite good enough
for his daughter.

After the dance,
we cut the cake,
and tie the cans.
Then she throws the bouquet
to the lucky next person who'll get married.
