Celebrating autumn.

The first frost of the season
initials autumn’s waking.
Crisp leaves of yellow and red
now descend as trees do shed.

Our eyes behold the beauty
as the days grow longer still.
The morning light glistens dew;
mums and pumpkins grow anew.

Such smells of dry, crackling wood
while evenings serve lasting scent.
Halloween grows very near,
bringing everyone good cheer.
