A candle went dim tonight,
It flickerd then it died,
Not many noticed
As in their lives they rushed by

Consumed by many things,
Hardly a tear was cried,
Save for one who thought
Of kindness given in a rakish grin,
The night that candle died.

Acepting arms held out from on high
Arms that said welcome son
