A poem upon the ideal of regret

You haunt me like a ghost
Infecting me like a virus
Using my mind as your host

You often create a feeling of sadness, often to create my own madness
Disappointment is your game, Won’t you reveal thy name?
If you do, I will do the same

I do not need you, But i often find that I do
You’re stuck to my mind as if you were glue
Please reveal yourself, I beg of you
Who are you?

“Hello, My name is Regret”
I often pose as your minds biggest threat
Damaging your present, Reflecting your past and Destroying your Future
I am your sadness, i am your madness, I am your fear, I am your disappointment, I am your torture

I will be your master, upholding you with steel chains
Until you reveal, and accept your most traumatising pains
Once then I will live in vain

Remember thy name as I am not controller of this game
So why must I take the blame?
As you are the creator of your own shame
