A poem about the sparrow bird.
House Sparrow (Passer Domesticus)

You little creature that intrigues me

You with your petite light brown wings

You are luminous, a gem

You lady, with your yellow bill

Ladylike, a princess

Your male with his grey bill

Darker feathers a macho

Your bill that serves as dining accessories

Yours is so much more than mine

Mine are mere lifeless silver

Yours is golden

You are a state bird

You with your little fragile sonatas

That resonates soothing songs

You with your restless calls to your family

Your babies flying among trees

Me that wants to become like you

You the agile flier

You with the rapid wing beats

You amaze me

You the loner in spring and summer

Me that identifies you with me

You arouse me

Me that wishes to be like you: free

You, as free as a bird

I am jealous

You that is tender and fragile

I want to look after you

You are my little sparrow

Yes you are.
