More than 250,000 Syrians have lost their lives and 11 million forced from their homes.
O Syria! O Syria! Beautiful nation,
Cradle of civilization
What have you done!
All in the name of freedom and liberty,
From dictators, oppression and tyranny,
You left your homes, desires and dreams behind
To side with powers who do not care but do mind.
They don’t care about your pain or your story,
All engrossed in battle over you for absolute power and vain glory.

O Nation! O Nation! Extension of,
Cradle of civilization
What have you done!
They stood at your door for a little shade, shower and the sun
You thrust them into battle and then on the run,
With their land drenched in blood of their daughter and son.
Look closely as the bloodied grounds spread across the border,
Into your territory that you hold so dear
Enabling you to dictate new laws and legislature
While they are tagged refugees and left to bear and suffer.

O cradle of civilization! Distraught nation
Syria, you are in turmoil and tension.
What have you done?
You are left scattered, under the desert sun.
You wait your turn for vengeance, while you families hope for you to return
To the fertile land with peace and harmony hand in hand.
Don’t wait upon them as they will hurt you more,
And you will fall victim to their vision, of a bright futures allure.
I will leave my words here, lingering and unfinished,
Because it is your god given right to make your own future, bright or blemished.
