A tale of mercy
//Darkness enveloped me and counted me out. A man of sins too many, I was not sure if grace could be found. I laid there beaten and bruised, the enemies final victory was at hand. I could hear the echoing rumble of the chariots of Hell coming to gather my soul. I saw the demons of my past ranting and raving coming to collect the spoils of war. They danced about me and laughed me to scorn. They made such mockery of my defeat//

//Then I heard a voice that sounded like the sound of a neverending thunder! Louder it grew, over the sound of chariots and the laughs of Hells imps. The ground shook with such force that devils begin to flee in terror . "He's ours" they screamed as they scrambled for a place to hide! With quivering lips they shouted "You lost this one, His soul belongs to our Master!"//

//A flash of lightning struck the ground commanding the silence of all of Hells Forsaken Realm! I lay their dying in pain and agony as He walked toward me, for where the lightning hath struck now stood what appeared to be a man. He glowed so brilliantly that I could not see him, save two hands and feet that looked to had been pierced. //

//With gentle arms and a love so deep He picked me up! The demons screamed in terror with each new step he took. He carried me up a hill and placed me at the foot of a cross. I remember feeling a drop upon my face, followed by another; surely there was no rain in this place but the drops begin to flow. As the drop fell down I could feel the chains breaking from off me. I watched as years of burdens became unclasped from my soul and rolled away as if never them did I bear//

//A majestic red stream of blood flowed and went down to my toes. It was there under a cross, in a place I was meant to die that I felt His love and the blood was applied. As I look back to that day, a day that should have been sure defeat, Mercy paid the price and gave me new life, paying for me a debt He did not owe. //
