A lesson in the ills of too may cliché.
Writing this is
anything but a breeze.
Strike that.
What I meant to say is
writing this is
more difficult than
the final word
at the spelling bee.

I don't want to reveal it,
I mean, I have my pride,
but what can I do,
my hands are tied.
Or should I say
I'm between a rock
and a hard place.

No?

Well, I guess
the more things change,
the more they always
stay the same.

But if viewed
from another angle,
there is really more here
than meets the eye.

Oh, you say you want
me to stop
monkeying around now?
Well, if that doesn't
just beat all.

I remember it
like it was yesterday,
you see,
I have the memory
of an elephant.

Get on with my story now?
Just tell it as a matter of fact,

Aww, come on,
I'd rather
milk it for all it's worth.
You see,
I have a penchant
for making a mountain
out of a mole hill.

Really, I have to go now.
I got myself
so worked up
writing this piece
that my stomach
is tied up in knots,
and my brain is fried.

Can you accept this
as a serious piece, or is it
"My way or the highway"?

Oops! My bad.
