written probably in 2008-2009, as I was reading Walden
You share with me
so much more than intellect
you share with me your soul
a private viewing for my eyes only
Mentor, teacher, lover, friend.

I see so much in this man
before me with sky blue eyes
full of creativity, enthusiasm
and passion you'd likely forgotten
as your family grew.

Loving you the way you are
where you are, for who you are.
You encourage, inspire, desire
you've moved me to action
to tears, to passion.

I carry you with me always
and forever (and a day).
Your smile nourishes me;
food for soul I cannot do without,
for a moment without your banter,
is like a night without stars

Dance with me in reverie
my love, my darling, my heart.
If you cannot be mine in today I promise to meet you tomorrow
Wherever that tomorrow may be
In present or in what to come

For yours I will always be.
