Those innocent days. Rhyming verse.
I dream about the times gone by, with love between us young and strong.
Excitement running very high, in summer evenings warm and long.
I think about the hand I miss, the hand I used to hold so tight.
And know that I’ll no longer kiss, the lips I used to kiss goodnight.

I think about your stunning eyes, so sparkly with that dreamy hue.
I thought I had won life’s first prize, when I was spending time with you.
I think about your legs so neat, displayed below your mini dress.
Leading to sweet and shapely feet, like gems awaiting a caress.

I miss the fragrance of your hair, the flowing tresses shine and glow.
Remembering when you were there, and all the places we would go.
The records on the air waves too, send visions flooding back somehow.
And dancing with my arms 'round you, it seems like heaven to me now.

But life moves on and so did we, and now I’m happy and content.
But I can still look back and see, the times together that we spent.
Those special years were full of joy, affection shown in many ways.
A teenage girl and teenage boy, enjoying our pre-adult days.
