 Avoiding Rehab  (E)
A contest entry for Musical Drabble, December 2016
#2105022 by Chris Breva

I woke up without a hangover and in a drunk tank. When I woke up I heard some men in another cell saying that the guy in Cell Four was in serious trouble. l was in Cell Four all alone after a blackout. So I panicked and started yelling for the guards.
They told me I was charged with public intoxication. I was soon taken to court where the judge ordered me to rehab. If I could see that judge today. I'd tell him I've been sober seven years, ten months, 3 weeks, and 4 days but who's counting?
