Contest entry using bands (music groups only) to deliver a message
The Ames Brothers were four lads on the loose.
Nothing to gain and nothing to lose.
Running around like 10,000 maniacs
Trying this, trying that, never quite got the knack.
In time, they have that a-ha moment
To live and breathe only in the present.
To be broken again when echoes of the past creep in,
With memories of the Pointer Sisters and cheap gin.
Wham! Bam! Thank you ma’am,
And off they would go again.
Shadows of Chicago and Kansas haunt the here and now.
A kiss, a touch is all the ghosts will allow.
Those teenager days, their glory days,
Conjured up and put away.
Wait.  It’s them again.
The memories where there is no fear or pain.
