Every Day is Mother's Day
Loved her more than I ever knew,
Curly hair so brown, eyes so blue

Was there a moment laced in time,
Took her for granted in my prime

She's been gone almost twelve long years,
So much happened, so many tears

How could I ever tell her why
Her eldest grandchild came to die

Somethings are better left unsaid,
Past is past. Don't disturb the dead.

If I could just have one more chance,
To hug her close, drink in her glance

I couldn't bear to let her go
Always more to say, this I know

Mothers Day cards still make me cry,
It hasn't changed though years fly by

I will see her again some day,
Among the clouds, with her I'll stay....

My Beautiful Mommy
