A young woman finds hope
Arise

In a cold, dark alley, she lies among garbage,
her pale, thin arms bruised and bare.
Unchecked tears trail down dirty cheeks.
Her body shivers in the chilled night air.

Deserted and alone, her spirit wanes.
Her face reveals a youth spent too fast.
She quivers and weeps over many lost chances,
past choices, and roads not taken, long passed.

Out of her anguish, a familiar voice utters,
"Your pain is not stronger than your Father's might.
Whatever the guilt that blackens your soul,
The Darkness cannot swallow the Eternal Light."

"Arise, my child... take up thy bed, and walk."
