A blind date gone awry.
A MEDICAL DATE

Memories of the first date,
Though often cherished are,
My first date happened to be
Rather a bit bizarre.

It was a blind date and she
Turned out double my age,
A spinster out to trap a
Teenager in love maze.

She ordered coffee without
Sugar, it so turned out.
Middle age diabetes
She had, without a doubt.

With my medical knowledge,
In spite of all her tact,
That she was on insulin,
She could not hide the fact.

Anxious and agitated,
I found her all the time.
When she perspired and fainted,
Alarm bells did then chime.

I knew that she was in a
Hypoglycemic shock.
Rather than her beau charming,
I had to act as doc!
