If you've not watched the television series, The Walking Dead graphic novels chronicle the life of Rick Grimes, a small town police officer, after he wakes up from a coma into a zombie apocalypse.

Anyone who enjoys zombie or horror graphic novels
I especially liked...
Reading the series and then seeing the differences in the TV show is interesting. The same is true for the reverse. Watching the TV show and then doubling back on the comic series provides insight into all of the characters that the show is missing.
I didn't like...
There were some extremely slow volumes with a lot of dialogue that proved difficult to get through.

Excited to read the rest of the volumes

The illustrations are great and the storyline is rich in character backgrounds
