Letter from the editor

The last four months of the year almost fly by on this site and you end up wondering where it all went and what really happened! This year won't be any different. Each month presents something different or a major activity where your entire focus lands on it. You may stress over them, participate in them and pray that the time goes by fast, but in the end, it'll be gone before you know it.

This coming up month, September, it's Writing.com's 17th Birthday!

You have to consider, many people already run contests on a weekly, bi-weekly, or a monthly basis. There are some which run every other month, but there is plenty to keep you occupied and more than enough work for those who run such cool contests. Let's not even mention the activities because there is always something going on. Can you keep up with it?

Now, we have September coming up and there are so many wonderful activities and contests in the working, you'll be amazed. Some return each year and have become part of the festivities. More often than not, people create something new to be part of those celebrations and The StoryMaster & The StoryMistress add them to their list to spread the word for it.

While it's not easy to run an activity, and truth be told, it does depend on its size and what is all included in it, but my suggestion would be to try and create something yourself. There are many people who like to participate in the fun and it does brighten up everyone's day, or month in this case. If you decide to test your skills and try an activity or contest for this, let SM and SMs know about it so they can include it in their list. That way it'll get the exposure it needs and therefore, more attention.

Hope to see you out there with your new but cool item! *Cool*

'til next time!
~ Gaby [e:witchhat}
