Greetings! I originally created this group as a way to keep track of who has responded to my now-closed newsletter survey. I wanted to keep the responders in the loop about my research and to share my conclusions with them. This research lead to the development of a small-circulation reviewing newsletter, which has been running for over a year now. Confused? Maybe these points will help you out. WHO WE ARE: We are Writing.com members of all ranks and all backgrounds with the common interest of discussing reviewing. Whether we're still figuring out our reviewing style or we've been reviewing for years, we engage in discussion and learn about various aspects of reviewing so we can improve how we provide feedback for our fellow authors. Anyone of any rank (from registered users on up) is welcome to join the group to expand his/her reviewing skills. WHAT WE DO: The newsletter is designed to connect reviewers to reviewing resources and offer new ideas via our fortnightly reviewing newsletter. Many topics of reviewing are covered, from reviewing etiquette to the many tools at our disposal to help us create quality reviews. This newsletter is designed to be educational and motivate members to expand their reviewing horizons. Discussion of the newsletter is welcomed and appreciated. Hey, we can always go for constructive criticism ourselves.  To see what we tackle in the newsletter, check out "Reviewing Newsletters"  [E] HOW IT IS RUN: The newsletter and group is open to anyone, and you can leave at any point if you desire. If you leave, though, you are welcome to come back. If you are interested in joining the group, you can review the group or e-mail me (soledad_moon@writing.com). You can also e-mail staff members and other members of the group, but they just have to let me know you're interested (which they usually are good about doing).
