Re: blog not saved despite requesting this

No, if the save failed, then the site never received/stored the content. They would not be recoverable from here.

That error number was for today. That one looked like it might have been due to a session time-out = typing the entry took too long, and the session expired with the extra information needed to process the submission.

A session will time out for inactivity after about 15 minutes. For this problem, you could try saving the entry every 5-10 minutes (set to Private until you're done) as you're working on it, and then editing to continue. Or you could try keeping the Scroll pop-up open in another window (Messenger in the left menu). Or keeping another site page open in a second tab and toggling over to it to reload that page every 5-10 minutes.

I see four errors in the log for you for yesterday, between 8:53 and 9:41. All of them say the entry title text box was blank. Three of them say the entry body text box was also blank. Two errors from earlier in the month also reference a blank entry title. Unless both the title and the body text boxes have been filled out properly (enough characters), there will be an error condition and the save will fail.

Normally, the page will reload what was in the text boxes on an error condition so you can fix the problem and try the save again. It sounds like that was not happening for you for some reason.

However, it looks like you are using Edge, and not necessarily the current version of that browser. Last I heard, the site did not support Edge -- meaning that some things may work okay if Edge processes them like Internet Explorer, but that there will be areas of the site that will not work properly. Error recovery from Book entry creation may be one of those places.

So to avoid this type of problem, you would need to use one of these methods:

1. The site recommends that you compose and save your work on your computer, and then copy/paste (or drag & drop) the text into the create pages for items/entries -- to avoid losing your work.

2. If you need to type online, the site recommends using Chrome or Firefox so you can make use of the Lazarus form recovery add-on for those browsers in case the internet eats your submission, which unfortunately is not that rare. Lazarus saves a temporary copy of the content on your computer as you type, so you can usually get it back through that recovery process if a submission fails.

Note that the Chrome version listed in your browser information is quite out of date. Before using either Chrome or Firefox, you should update it to the current version.

Making sure your Edge browser is up to date would also be a good idea.

Hope that helps.
