Noticing Newbies

Hello, Fitzwalter, and welcome!

Personally, I've found that entering contests is the best way to get to meet people on the site and get feedback from them on my own writing. On the left of your screen is a menu which includes "Community". If you click on that, one of the options is "contests". Click on that and you'll find a listing of current contests. Flick down and see if there are any that appeal to you and cover the kind of stuff you like to read and write. There are lots of fantasy based contest, but maybe fewer historical. To be honest, I haven't really looked into the historical so I wouldn't know.
