History of Pancho and Other useless Information
"Don't let it end this way, tell them I said something" were reportedly the last words Pancho ever breathed
,as the assassin was swiftly ending Pancho's life. I hope to show others that Pancho didn't die in vain.
Born Jun 5, 1878, his mother named him Jose Doroteo Arango Arambula. He was born in La Coyotada, San Juan del Rio, Durango Mexico. He died July 20, 1923 at only 45 years of age.His people called him Fransisco "Pancho" Villa, El Centauro del Norte. (The Centaur of the North) Pancho is buried in Mexico City, at the Monument to the Revolution. His rank of General of Mexico in the antireectionista revolutionary forces is what had eventually gotten him killed.

Been a while since I have been on here. Life has been busy, but time keeps on moving ahead out here in the wide open spaces of West Texas and the Permian Sea.

The sunrise was amazing this morning. God paints a new one everyday. No two are ever the same. The simplest lesson in faith is that I know in my heart of hearts that the sun will rise every day of my life.

Sorry haven't been around in a while, it has been a busy or shall I say bizzy few weeks around here. Jennifer and I completed the puppy experience, out of 9 pups they all found homes except for the mom and the heeler mix pup we kept we named her Bizzy.
We held a garage sale on the rainiest crappiest weekend we could find, other wise it would have done much better, but we were able to get rid of some unwanted stuff. I have still been working on completing my move in with Jennifer, and we have just about gotten everything from my house to hers, and my little trailer house cleaned out.
Next Thursday, we leave on vacation. Thank God. We are both looking forward to the much needed break in the beautiful Ft Davis Mountains.

Another Doctor visit yesterday, two more sticks in my cheeks(and not on my face) with sharp objects! May not be a spider after all she tells me. Staph infection. WTF? Perhaps it was onset by a Black Widder or an angry ol fire ant. Brown Recluse? Don't think so, your hand would have rotted away by now. I'm going to start telling people it was a rattle snake.

Snake bite has gotten worse not better. Nasty little bugger. I say amputate. They say leave it alone? At least open this blister up and let it spray! You know I like to watch those operations people post on Facebook where they are lancing a boil and draining the Puss.

They have changed up the treatment plan. Don't take this one, and start taking that one, oh and come back tomorrow for another shot!

Ugh I dislike doctors but I also dislike sickness and pain.

What would they have done in the olden days? I bet ol' Charlie Goodnight never slowed down due to a dumb ol' rattle bug nope he would have pulled out his pocket knife cut off his thumb and kept on driving them cattle to Kansas. He'd have had a new belt and boots to match. Not a bad trade for just his left thumb.

I am trying hard to follow the doctors orders more of fear of the Jennifer than of the doctor so today I have it wrapped to keep it clean at work and I am sitting at my desk instead of out in the shop doing those manly things.

All I can say is don't put your hands where you wouldn't put your...

Have a great Saturday it could be your last.

After moving some furniture and other items over the weekend, I woke up to find a small blister or pimple on my left thumb Sunday morning.

I went on with normal tasks trying as best I could to take care of the business at hand. Last night after work I was in pain. Swelling and redness persisted into this morning and I ended up at a doc in a box.

A shot of antibiotic on my rear end. As if the hand doesn't hurt enough the muscles in my lower back now sore and stiff. The swelling has continued throughout the day. As I am typing this my hand is itching like mad.

The pain travels from the tip of my fingernail up inside my armpits.

I am being a big ol baby. I am thankful for my love Jennifer she and our dog Bella have done there best to take care of me and make me feel better.

I am debating on going back to bed. I have napped and watched Netflix most of the day. Afraid now I won't be able to sleep, but more afraid if it doesn't get better, I will have to get another shot.

Needles.. yuck!

Texas is rich in unredeemed dreams, and now that the dust of its herds is settling the writers will be out on their pencils, looking for them in the suburbs along the mythical Pecos. - LARRY MCMURTRY

The Pecos still runs muddy and the river is mostly salty. They even grow shrimp over in Imperial. The Cantaloupe farms irrigate from the Pecos river. Over by Ft Stockton lives a catfish found no where else in the world.

The Pecos meets the Rio Grande just below Pandale at a place called the High Bridge. Just above the Lago Amistad at Del Rio. A lake meaning Friends on the border of Texas and Old Mexico.

The Pecos is still a mythical place to me.

I have seen in my "Facebook" feed and in other sources, that end times are near. President Reagan 20 years ago prophesised that "Armegeddon would happen in our generation. Nostradomos, and Others have also predicted the end of the world. Some of these dates have passed us by, yet the world still turns, and that big old sun rolls lazily across the sky.

The latest buzz, has been about the hurricanes,in the Gulf and the Atlantic, a massive earthquake off the coast of Mexico, Wild fire in the U.S. West Coast and the moon. First eclipsing and now in it's reddish tint of the Harvest Moon, or "Blood Moon".

Today, I read an article speaking of the 12 crowns. It cited the 12th Revelation would occur on Sept.23 2017. Along with the constellation of Virgo "clothed" in the sun, and the moon beneath her feet, the constellation Leo "Lion" will be visible. The nine principle stars which make the constellation of Leo will be joined by Mercury, Mars, and Venus. The 12 stars, or 12 "Crowns". This would begin the rapture, and the 7 years of Tribulation.

I am not a bible thumper by any means, however consider myself a Christian. I do believe in Jesus as my personal savior. I am not scared to ascend to heaven anytime he calls.

“Keep on the watch, therefore, because you know neither the day nor the hour.”—Matthew 25:13.

according to scripture We do not know when the ascension will be, Therefore I will be ready. If it happens in 2 weeks, so be it, but if not, well I'll see ya here on WDC on 9-24. Until then Happy Writing.

Procrastination- a five syllable word for sloth.
Time to look at things I can do differently. Make a plan and stick to it.

The first day back to work after a long weekend. Boy am I tired. I feel like I got some things accomplished today although most were not my "things". My boss is out this week on vacation so I am not only doing my job as a counter sales person and managing my warehouse, I also am working on shipping and receiving and taking care of inventory allocation for our other store. We are the main warehouse and all inventory gets shipped to us and we stock the other smaller location. It was a busy day, but it sure made time fly. Thankful to be home with my beautiful Jennifer, and my puppies and the cat. And the cigar and fancy Mexican fizzy water aren't too bad either!

The cowboy got high on a bottle of rye the coyote gets drunk on the moon. Ian Tyson

Finished out my long weekend with good music and a fine cigar thanks to a good friend. Jennifer bought me a fire pit, it is still a little warm yet, but was fun to hang out around a fire and listen to cowboy tunes. I am thinking I want to get back into the swing of my novel about Pancho Villa and My Great Grandfather Zackie.

Hung a few western paintings today in the "writing room" and a big ol' Texas flag. Praying it inspires me.

Flooding in Houston and its surrounding areas. There is lots of damage along the Texas coast. Some say it is the worst thing to happen to Texas since the Great Galveston Hurricane in 1900.

Similarities between the two hurricanes are that they were both category 4 when they reached landfall. Hurricane Harvey hit on the Texas city of Port Aransas. Although it is some 170 miles North of Galveston, both cities are situated on islands just a few miles off shore of Texas. Harvey's winds sustained at 130 mph as it reached land. Researchers believe the Galveston Hurricane had winds upwards of 140 mph.

One major difference is was happened afterwards. During the Galveston Hurricane the city experienced sunny skies and 20 mph winds. The storm continued overland in a great horseshoe and exited the U.S. in Michigan. Harvey has stalled out and is plowing eastern Texas with downpours, dangerous flooding and damaging winds.

During the Galveston Hurricane the generally accepted death toll is 8,000. No one knows for sure but it's somewhere between 6 and 12 thousand. There were too many bodies to bury, so the corpses were weighted and shipped out to sea. The barges dumped them into the Gulf of Mexico. Shortly thereafter the bodies began to wash back to shore. Survivors and rescue personnel then turned to burning the bodies. The fires burned day and night for weeks.

The entire city of Galveston was raised before it was rebuilt. A sea wall was added. In August of 1915 another category 4 Hurricane hit the island and the work of rebuilding the city had paid off. Only 11 deaths were suffered in the Hurricane of 1915.
