Day 24 Prompt for the "30-Day Blogging Challenge" : Open mic night prompt. Write about whatever you want. All I ask is that you have fun with it. Enjoy!

I sit in my 'writing room' thinking back over the last twenty-four days and my participation in "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS"   by Fivesixer . Was this challenge what I thought it would be? Did I participate the way I thought I would? Did I perform as team captain to my satisfaction, to the team's satisfaction? Will our team win, will I? Am I going to participate in the Official month of "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS"   by Fivesixer ? This blog will address these issues.

First, was this challenge what I thought it would be. In one word- no. Is this a huge problem? In one word - no. I have discussed in a previous blog how I thought the challenge would go down. However, Brother Nature had other ideas about how it was going to be run and well, it is his game. I think the game went well in terms of fundraising which was the main point. This last elimination event seems to be going well as well. It will be interesting to see how the eliminations play out and who is left at the end. Last on e in front of a keyboard wins!

Did I participate the way I thought I would? No, I thought there were be more fundraising among the teams, but not the 'bounty' system that was instituted. I thought we would be raising funds outside the teams. I was prepared to 'reward' donors by giving them raffle tickets to my raffle. I had planned to give one ticket for every 5k donated. This never came through, but I had a plan.

How about my participation as a team captain? I would say yes, my team might disagree. The first team challenge was to form the team, come up with a mission and find a leader. I jumped in right away and within the first day we had a team name, mission, song and leader. I created the forum and a group. The forum has been used off and on by the team. We discussed how we would handle the first challenge and even created a poll to vote on it. We were a bit late with our answer to the challenge because before we could strike, we had huge bounties placed on three players, including myself. At this point I did not have the gift points to pay the bounty and I was resolved to end my participation when the bounty challenge ended. Luckily, Brother Nature saved a few monkey butts. Whether I performed to the teams expectation is an opinion left to them.

Will The Blogging Bunch pull off the win? Your guess is as good as mine. I have only seen the results of the first day of competive blogs and it looks like the team is getting quite a few stars. I don't know whether I can pull off the win over Elle - on hiatus she is a greatly talented blogger and I just dabble in blogging. Which leads to the final question; Will I participate in the official month of "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS"   by Fivesixer ? I think I will sign up for the challenge, if for no other reason but to compel myself to write everyday.

This has been an interesting month and I can't wait for the results...

Day 23 Prompt for the "30-Day Blogging Challenge" : We live in an age where you can do anything and everything on the internet. You can purchase airline tickets, buy clothing, electronics, even groceries online. There’s even online dating. What are your thoughts? Have you ever/would you ever try online dating? Do you think it’s a better way to meet people or are you skeptical or leery of it? Tell us your thoughts and/or experiences with it.

I hate to admit it but I am old school. I know *Shock* . I met my husband at work, I met the boyfriend before him at work. The other guys I liked were from school. I have been known to speak to men at bars. *Shock*. I did not attempt to go online until after I was married. I had not owned a computer until after I had met him. Therefore, I can not imagine using an online dating site or going out with anyone I met online.

This being said however, let's assume I was born fifteen years after I actually was. Let us also assume I am not married. I could totally see a younger version of me hitting the online dating sites like eharmony. I would answer all of their questions, truthfully *Wink* and I would probably meet a few weirdos before meeting someone worth dating. I would not use the chat rooms and sites like quest to speak to horny strangers who are probably serial killers. (sorry if I just insulted any of you). I can't imagine just hooking up with someone I met online. I mean, I talk to you guys but I have no idea how many of you are weirdos, and vice versa you guys have no idea how many people I have duck-taped to the radiator in my basement.

Here is your prompt for Sunday, February 22, 2015:
What is/was the best vacation you have ever been on? If you can’t narrow it down to one, write about a vacation that you hope to take someday; something from your bucket list.

My favorite vacations occurred when I was eight to eighteen years old. My parents rented a cottage in the beach community of Long Beach, Ontario, Canada. Bill Connell, a former Ontario Provincial Police officer owned the cottage and rented it out from May to late August. During the summer he lived with his girlfriend Marcia and during the off-season he inhabited the cottage at 21 Augustine Rd. One summer, he told the story of how he used to ride his snowmobile down the stairs onto the snow covered beach below. After that story we never again wondered where the second handrail for the stairs went.

We rented the cottage for either two or four weeks, depending on the year; usually for four, the last two weeks in July and the first two weeks in August. On a Friday night my parents would load the station wagon and my brothers truck with everything but the kitchen sink and at 9am we would leave the house in Henrietta and start the two hour trek to the beach. We would cross the Peace Bridge into Fort Erie and head to Port Colburne. Here we would eat at the China Star Restaurant, where we would get the number four family style meal. It had sweet and sour chicken balls with pineapple, wonton soup, fried rice, chicken chow mein, and something else that I can not remember. After lunch, if I was lucky and my big brother, Dave drove up with us, he and I would walk to the lift bridge over the Welland Canal and watch the ships come into and out of Lake Erie. It would seem to take forever for my parents to grocery shop while we were waiting. Then we would head to the cottage - finally!

The drive from Port Colburne to Long Beach was probably 20 minutes but for a kid who just wanted to play in the water and sand IT WAS FOREVER! Then when we got to the cottage the vehicles needed to be unloaded and the groceries put away. Oh please I just want to go swimming and build sand castles! At last I would be allowed to play outside and I would spend all day in the sun and water. Then all evening I would spend in the bathroom getting sick from too much fun in the sun!

The next four weeks would be spent building sand castles and trying to get in the water as much as possible. We would take walks on the beach and find crayfish. Sometimes, my uncle or my brother would bring their motor boat and we would ride the waves. During thunderstorms the power would more than likely go off. Concessi's, the store within walking distance, was a wonderful place, with candy bars and licorice laces. We also could buy fireworks there.

These were the best family vacations, ever. There were no cell phones or video games, sometimes you couldn't even get the TV to work. We had each other and I had my imagination and that was all I needed!

Day 21 Prompt for the "30-Day Blogging Challenge" : Imagine that today is your birthday. If you could give yourself a call on a past birthday of yours, what would you tell yourself?

*Phone* ring rinnggg ring ringggg. Hello?

-Yes, hello. Is Sharon home?

-Yes? Speaking.

-Hi, please do not get alarmed, but I am you and I am calling from 2015.

-2015? but this is 1990?

-Well. First I want to wish us a Happy Birthday! Second, I want to tell you a few things...

-This isn't funny! Who are you?

-I told you, I am you. We are us! I know your friends in the dorm are having a party for you tonight. You will love Ben and Jerry's.

-How do I know you are me?

-You love White Russians

-Hey nobody knows that....oh, I understand

-Okay, I don't know how long I can stay on the phone with you, so listen carefully. Please, don't screw around so much in college. I know we are having a great time but pay attention to your classes. Don't party every weekend and don't drink so much.

-Hey, it's not a big deal!

-That is what I thought. But it makes a difference and you want to be a veterinarian. Keep up the hard work! Don't let Dr. Houpt tell you anything about what kind of a Vet you will make. She has no right telling you you can't make it! Let her weed out the other kids!

-Hey, what are you...crackle,snap..ing about? I kn...crackle-dead silence....

Day 20 Prompt for the "30-Day Blogging Challenge" : What are your thoughts on surprise parties? I’m in the process of planning two – yes, two. One is a baby shower and one is a 40th birthday bash. Have you ever had a surprise party thrown for you? Do you even like surprises? Have you ever had to throw a surprise party?

I love surprise parties, but no one has ever held one for me...*Sad* *Cry* *Rolleyes* I knew about both of my bridal showers; the one from family and the one from work. I was going to have a surprise 45th party for Pappa Bear but the finances and situation at the time did not lend themselves to a party. I know of a surprise party that my siblings were in charge of that I got very upset over, though.

My parents were celebrating their 35th Wedding anniversary and my brother and his wife decided to take them out to dinner. I was invited to attend the dinner as well. My parents and I showed up at their house and my brother asked us to wait in the family room because they weren't ready yet. This ticked my father off but what were we to do? As we descended the stairs to the room, my mother opened the door and there were my aunts and uncles, cousins and family friends. It seems everyone knew of the party but my parents and the youngest child...ME! I was so embarrassed because I did not know. I was in my teens and I should have been old enough to trust. Yet, my siblings chose not to divulge the secret and I feel they made me look like a fool.

Since then, I have been a party to surprises on my family, by my sister, but no parties. My sister, one year made plans with me to come up from Texas and visit our mom. I lived at home at the time and made all the arrangements for her. The day she arrived, I took my mom to the store so my sister could show up at the house. While we were gone my sister took a huge box out of her truck and put my little nephew in it. The box was addressed to my mom and was in the middle of the driveway. It said, in part, that Live Sprouts were inside. As my mom went to open it my nephew moved and the happy tears flowed. That was a great surprise!

Prompt: Write a story that includes fish sticks in some central way. Yup, that's right. Fish sticks. Frozen, fried fish sticks.

Adults of every shape and size run from inside their houses and line the streets and sidewalks as soon as they hear the ship whistle blow from the little white truck with the blue waves painted on it. They stand waving dollars as the man in the truck turns the corner. The driver wears yellow rain gear and resembles the Gorton's fisherman right down to his shaggy beard. The smell of frying oil and fish is pungent as the truck rolls to a stop. The men and women clamor around the side of the truck, determining what they want to order from the man.

On the side of the truck are various pictures and charts of the treats that are offered. The first panel lists all the types of fish sticks that are offered. There are pollack and haddock, salmon and tilapia. Every one has been minced to the point they no longer resemble fish. The minced meat is coated with panko bread crumbs and are frozen solid. After the type of fish is chosen then the patrons have the pleasure of choosing the sauce. Tartar sauce tops the list with cocktail sauce and plain ketchup rounding out the choices.

After the order is placed the driver drops the frozen sticks into the bubbling peanut oil. Steam rises and the oil bubbles nearly to the top of the fryer. Most of the sticks are cooked thoroughly through but on occasion, the rare uncooked stick is served. These have a sticky, mushy outer layer, where the oil has soaked the breading but not fried anything. The texture is normally crunchy but these are mushy on the outside and still half-frozen in the middle. Yet, this is a rarity and the patron of the Fish Stick Man await his arrival with mouths watering and dollars waving.

I am sorry did someone say that Brother Nature ranted? I would say he had a full-blown hissy-fit/ temper-tantrum worthy of a five-year-old. Okay, okay I am kidding, that description is totally over-exaggerated. What he did was rant about something he felt he had every right to. I agree he was one hundred percent justified in his rant. Now, whether I agreed with his stance on the rant, that is another story. *Smile*

Joel was completely justified in his rant. He spent a great deal of time planning and setting up this challenge for all of us- his bloggers. What happened after the game began was not what he had planned. The blame for this can not fall completely on his shoulders. Partially, maybe, but not completely on his shoulders. A feel a few of us, myself included had the wrong idea for how the game was going to go down. When I signed up for the challenge, I had no intention of 'donating' a large percentage of my gift points to the challenge. When I read 30 day Elimination Style, Fundraising Blog Challenge, I thought that the two teams would fundraise from our friends, etc to get funds for the 30d blogging group. I thought the elimination would be from our blogging ability and team participation. It seems others, including skeason understood what Joel intended. But in either case, there was a communication error and by no means should Joel be held accountable for that. This is his baby and we need to understand this.

Now, when this is all over we need to meet at the Blogging Banana Bar and I will buy the first round and we can hold hands and sing Kumbaya...

I was born to a couple who already had three children, ranging in age from twelve to fifteen. To say I was an 'oops' or an 'accident' would probably be considered a giant understatement. However, I was not as much of an accident as it would appear. My mother had been pregnant twice between my older sister and myself. One of the pregnancies was a set of twins. This miscarriage occurred a year and a half before I was born. It was an ectopic pregnancy which meant one of the twins was developing in the fallopian tubes versus in the uterus. My mother experienced tremendous pain during her first trimester and was rushed to the emergency room. The doctors diagnosed the ectopic pregnancy and they operated right away, to remove the one twin from the tube. My mother was not informed about being pregnant with twins because they did not expect the other to survive, a few days later she list the other twin. She was informed it would be rather difficult to become pregnant again because one ovary and one fallopian tube were removed during the surgery. However, on February 14th, 1971, I was born! So I suppose, I was born to be Daddy's Little Valentine and Mom's Little Miracle.

Prompt for February 16, 2015: Would you go visit such a shop? Why or why not. - Bonus Question: Do you know of, or have an idea for a unique, or trendy shop?

It is very coincidental that you asked this question today. I actually went to one such shop on Sunday. The shop is called Psychic's Thyme, www.psychicsthyme.com and I had a reading by one of the psychics there. She began by rubbing my hands with lavender and then she took out a piece of paper and a pen. What occurred next was nothing short of amazing. She began making circles in the center of the paper and then she began writing words on the paper. Random words would appear from the end on the pen. When she finished writing we discussed what was written. I am not going to give details from my reading but things were spot on for me.

After the automatic writing was over, she did a Tarot Card reading. this was just as interesting as the writing. Things that came out were spot on for me and my life. After she finished I found out that 2015 will be a much better year for me than 2014. I know that this will be true!

When I paid for my reading I took a look around the store, There were candles and books along with crystals and Tarot cards. I was amazed by all that I saw and it was absolutely cool as heck!

I think of any kind of trendy store I would start a coffee/book store where writers could come and write.

Prompt for February 15, 2015: Tell me why you should stay in this competition.

The elimination portion of the "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS"   by Fivesixer commences today and this blog demonstrates the reasons why PandaPaws will not be the first eliminated player. I must admit a small group of butterflies flits about in Panda's tummy but not enough to worry her into a tizzy. So far, the game has taxed a few members of the Blogging Bunch, mainly because we were a bit concerned we were going to lose some star bloggers, not based on our writing talent but on the amount of gift points we had. Luckily, Brother Nature rectified the situation and we can continue on in the game. Now, to answer the question "Why PandaPaws will remain in the Challenge".

First and foremost, I am the leader of the Blogging Bunch team. Being the leader does not exempt a player from elimination but it should hold some weight. This is especially true when the leader effectively lead the team through the first two challenges. The first team challenge, coming up with a name and team mission, was accomplished the second day after the challenge was issued. After I sent an email to all the Team One members, asking if they had considered a name, mission, and leader, I received responses from over half the team saying they would approve me as the leader. The next morning, I awoke to over thirty emails with ideas for the name and mission statement. I set up the Blogging Bunch Group and a forum for group members only. We were set to complete the first challenge long before the Sunday deadline. I became aware that I needed to be at work during the first deadline so I enlisted the help of Charlie ~ so we would not lose any points by missing the noon deadline.

Secondly, I lead the team, with help, through the second challenge. Though this challenge did not end the way our team would have liked it to. The second challenge began as a 'friendly' bounty game. Each of us, from both teams, began by placing small gift point amounts on each other, raising money for the "30-Day Bloggers Group"   by Fivesixer . About halfway through the first day our team fragmented into to schools of thought pertaining to the challenge. Some of the team, myself included, I wanted to keep the challenge fun and keep the gift point amounts low. The other group wanted to pool our resources and attack the other team. I created a poll for our group and we went about voting as to tactics. In the end there were seven votes out of the eleven team members. Three for attacking, three for staying 'fun' and one for a smaller attack. As leader, I decided on the attack option, but by now the Birds on a Wire had lit a fire, attacking three of our members with a substantial amount of gift points. The amount was too high for any of the individuals to pay and I felt that the others in the group should not pay such an exorbitant amount to save us, only to potentially lose us in another round. By the end of the evening, I advised the team to relax and take a breather and see what time would bring. Thank you, Brother Nature for saving our monkey butts from certain elimination. As I said to the team that night, I don't mind being eliminated based on my writing, but I do mind being eliminated based on the amount of gift points I have. Therefore, I believe I effectively lead our group through the challenge, even though we would have lost if it had been seen through to completion.

The third reason I should remain revolves around the fact that I still have great ideas on how we will win the "30-Day Blogging Challenge ON HIATUS"   by Fivesixer . No matter what Joel throws at us, The Blogging Bunch will triumph. Between the great team member and a calming voice at leader we can triumph over the Birds in all future challenges. The Blogging Bunch will be together at the end, stuffing our pillows with little birdie feathers.

Oh, and one last reason, if there is a dance challenge, who better to send in then the twerking, pole-dancing Panda?

For all these reasons, I will not be the weakest link and I will survive the first elimination round.

Prompt for February 10, 2015: You are being driven around by the worst driver ever.

It is snowing like a banshee again and a 2-wheel drive 2003 GMC Sonoma does not handle well in this stuff. I am being driven to the store and I must have hit the imaginary brakes five times in the first hour. We don't have to get there that quickly, take your time around the corners. Don't stop so quickly! As I think this the back end of the truck slides sideways and the rear tires spin in the salty brine created from the snow and salt treatment. The truck finally stops, a bit off center but at least it stops before the intersection.

Now the light turns green and the driver hits the accelerator hard, the tires spin again, getting absolutely no traction. Then she grabs and the back end spins into the other lane, narrowly missing oncoming cars. We get through the intersection and are now traveling through a white out. Now, if you have never driven in one of these it is going to be hard to describe. If the snow is coming down in large enough flakes and the wind is whipping up really good, then you probably can't see the hood of your vehicle. This is when you slow down and take your time. But not my driver, No, hit the gas and drive through it. You don't even know if you are on the road or not. You have no idea if some other idiot is driving the same way. Finally, the snow clears and by some miracle the truck is still headed the right direction. Now to turn into the store parking lot.

There are vehicles coming toward us but we are going to turn in front of them. Gun it and go! The truck barely grabs the pavement and turns, sliding, in front of an eighteen wheeler. The truck just clears the bumper of the Sonoma. We pull in to a parking spot and I get out, kissing the ground. YOU ARE NOT DRIVING HOME!

Oh, did I happen to mention - this is written by my husband- about my driving! *Facepalm* *Blush*

Blog Prompt for February 9, 2015: GAMES - Video Games, Board Games, Parlour Games, What's your pleasure?

I was going to name this blog "Will Someone Play with Me" but after that naughty monkey commented yesterday I thought better of it. (Brother Nature )

I would prefer playing either board games or parlour games but there is so little personal contact in our lives that this becomes difficult. When was the last time you actually went to a party where people played games. Most parties involve music or a movie playing in the background. Perhaps the party revolved around the Super Bowl, not exactly time to play Blind Man's Bluff. Even as a family we don't take the time to interact with each other. A day at our house involves, if I am off work, the laptop. The first thing I do after I give our dog his medicine is turn on my computer, and I spend close to three or four hours surfing between Writing.com and facebook. Sometimes, I will go on Khan Academy and work on a few classes or I will check Pinterest and Yahoo. The TV is always on in the background and my husband and I will talk to each other but really we are just on our computers.

Maybe I need to institute a "no-technology day", after the 30 Day Blogging Challenge, of course!

I hope Spring arrives on time this year. I don't need it to come early, just on time. I would like to see the green grass in March. I want to see pussy willow buds and daffodils. I want the tulips to be bright and colorful. I am done with the snow and the cold. We have about a foot and a half of snow on the ground now and we are expecting another foot by Tuesday. I can't run out to the mailbox without putting on several layers, my winter coat, mittens, hat , scarf and boots. I just want to be able to go out in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt, with my flip-flops and no worry about catching pneumonia. No lie, we are not going to have temperatures above freezing for the next week. *Snow1* *Snow2* *Snow3* *Sun* *Flower1* *Flipflops1*

Prompt- Did you every get drunk and do something stupid? Truth or Lie

As a college freshman in the late eighties/early nineties, I should not have been consuming alcohol. Of course that did not stop me, or my friends. We would head done to TJ Tuesdays on an Ithaca Saturday night and drink til we dropped. Or damn close to it. I can remember one night (barely) when I danced on a table to "I Can't Get No Satisfaction". We were drinking pitchers of Sex on the Beach and WooWoo (a dumb name for a Cape Cod). I sat at the table with two pitchers in front of me and proclaimed "This is the waawaa and that is the WooWoo"

Prompt: As a result of the Measles outbreak, there's been an ongoing controversy about immunizations for school age kids. Tell me about your position and/or experience.

I believe the MMR vaccine is a true life saver. Of the children who receive the vaccine there is a reduction of the disease by over 99%. A child, or adult who contracts Measles not only has the affects of the measles disease but can suffer from other health issues and possibly die. By not having a child vaccinated a parent is risking their child contracting the disease. There is also the risk of exposing other children to the disease. The MMR vaccine does NOT protect every child. If a parent chooses to have their child vaccinated and another parent does not have their child vaccinated and the second child contracts measles, they are unnecessarily placing the first child at risk. Below are two links covering vaccines and autism risks.

For my own experience, my siblings were born before the vaccine became readily available. They all contracted the measles and mumps diseases. Of the three, one is suspected to not be able to have children due to contracting mumps. I, however, have been given the vaccine due to being 15 years younger. I have never had any of these diseases. I personally believe that all children should be vaccinated. If a parent refuses to vaccinate their child that parent should need to find a way to protect other children and find an alternate schooling arrangement.

DAY FIVE

http://www.deepthoughtsbyjackhandey.com/

http://www.sotruefacts.com/

I think we have all seen some of Jack Handy's work, Deep Thought's by Jack Handy, and 'Fun Facts' show up in all sorts of publications for all ages. My son loved 'Fun Facts' books ever since he was a young reader, and enjoys writing his own, which (in my opinion) are pretty awesome.

I enjoy Jack Handy's work. One of my favorites is: It seemed as if the crows were calling out his name, thought Caw.

Prompt for February 5, 2015: Knowing what you now know about 'Deep Thoughts' and 'Fun Facts' Write a few of your own. Write as many as you want, but try to write at least two of each.

So True Facts-

Dogs that eat human food along with their dog food tend to be overweight

Fish that are removed from water, die

Birds that have broken wings tend not to migrate

Some pandas can't dance

Shallow thoughts

Everywhere I go is dark, thought the mole

I said to Pinocchio, "You can't lie" he said yes I can and sat on the chaise. (not that good)

If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, did it fall?

Prompt for February 4, 2015: Scientists discover a new material that can ...

If this prompt doesn't float your boat, write about - What does.
OR... spend your time smack talking your opposing team.
OR... All of the above.

Meh, I write what I want to write; nothing more, nothing less. I am so glad that you put us onto teams already. Team Two is AWESOME! AWESOME, I say... Team one might as well just forfeit now and spare themselves some agony. I mean seriously, have they taken a good look at their competition... really?

Okay, enough of that trash talk, before I get us in trouble. *Smirk*

One good thing has come out of me having trouble with my teeth last month. I have stopped biting my fingernails. I have bitten them since I was in second grade. When my tooth was abscessed I couldn't bite my nails because I could not apply the pressure to bite them. I noticed that the nails were growing and I ordered some nail strengthener from ProStrong Nails. The stuff is wonderful. My names have been growing for three weeks now and I have whites showing now!

Of course, Pandas with large claws can do some damage...just saying Team One!

Do I have a muse? Do I have many? Does she help or hinder? What does my muse lead me to write? Does my muse lead me to write? Is my muse writing this? Is my muse influencing me? Can I influence my muse?

Honestly, I never thought about a muse until I joined the MuseMasters group and I was given this image as my muse

** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only **

I don't know if she fits what my image of my muse is, now that I have thought about her. I think my muse is a combination of Calliope and Clio. I bit of epic poetry and history. If you surf through my portfolio you will find many poems and a bit of history mixed in. I picture my muse as my inner blond thin girl she has a writing tablet in one hand and scrolls in the other, kind of like the blind statue of justice...I don't know why but that is how I picture her...

Blog Prompt for February 2, 2015: Do They Know it's Groundhog Day? Does your part of the world have such a weather related tradition? Are there any weather related traditions (actual or completely bogus) you observe? Tell us about the weather conditions in your part of the world.

Living in Western NY, we rely on Punxsutawney Phil to relay the weather situation for the end of winter. And so it was today, that Phil gave us the 'bad news' of six more weeks of Old Man Winter. I have a problem with this...

Six more weeks of winter will take us into the month of March, to be specific six more weeks of winter will take us to March 9th. This would be almost two weeks before the official beginning of Spring. I don't understand how winter ending on the ninth of March would be a bad thing. In my neck of the woods we can get snow on Mother's Day, that is two months after Phil says winter will end. So I'll take it. I am glad Phil saw his shadow! Let Spring begin in March...I can handle another six weeks of snow, as long as there are daffodils by April.

Happy Groundhog Day!
Prompt: What does a groundhog think about Groundhog Day? Write a story, poem, or rant. Have fun and be creative
.

Hi, my name is Phil and I have my own website... www.groundhog.org and I am here to tell you that I HATE being a groundhog, let me rephrase that I HATE being THAT groundhog. Every year, on February 2nd, I am dragged from my burrow, where I have been hibernating, to tell people the weather forecast. BY MY SHADOW! Now really, who thinks that my shadow is going to predict the weather? You want the weather forecast go drag Jim Cantore out of his bed and hold him up and see whether there is a shadow. My guess is he wouldn't be too thrilled either! Of course I think there will be six more weeks of winter! Hell, your calenders will even tell you winter ends in March. So please leave me be, let me sleep! Just turn on the Weather Channel and get your weather there!
