Once or twice a year The Dressmaker creates a special gown.  Made with love and given freely it enhances the natural talents of the recipient and shelters her with a magical protection. 

But one day The Dressmaker disappears . . .


Please Note - September 2016: My novel, The Dressmaker, was first conceived and most of it written in 2008.  Recently another poplar story with that same title, but a different time and setting, and a far different plot has come to the large screen. 

In order not to have my story mistaken for a take off on that one or be accused of plagiarizing I decided to change the name of my novel to The Queen's Dressmaker.

To Potential Readers and Reviewers,

Thank you for taking the time to read these chapters ~ yes, they are long.

This was my novel for National Novel Writing Month 2008.  If you are unfamiliar with NaNoWriMo the authors write a complete novel of at least 50,000 words in the month of November ~ only 30 days.

I did complete this novel in 30 days, but the last one third was abbreviated and very rough.  Surprisingly, it's taken me ten years to finish this novel to my satisfaction.  Roweena's story has come full circle and is complete now.

I sincerely appreciate all comments and reviews, but please allow me to say ~ even after all this time ~ many of these chapters are still rough drafts, especially those nearer the end of the story.  There are lots of typos and grammar errors and who knows what all else in them.  I am working on correcting them as I find the time to beat back some of life's demands and carve out more writing time around all of my daily challenges.

Thank you for your kindness and your understanding.  I hope you enjoy Roweena's journey.
